Choose one of the risks mentioned and present your findings on your blog.

Pornography is a great danger on the internet especially for kids and teens. 90 per cent of teen boys cosume online pornographgy and 70 per cent of the teen girls as well.

There are millions of porn sites online and they are “just a click away” not as is was in the past, when pornography was difficult to obtain. However, you can not control porn in a global medium. One reason is the differences of cultural status of the countries in the world. Another point is that pornography and popular enterntainement have got misty so it is much harder to prevent.

A big problem for  kids is that they can decide if they want to look at porn websites or not. So they should be taught to make the rigth choice and partents should be well-informed in this regard.

Another a risk for the kids is that they are largely effected by porn because tey don not have own experience in sexual sections so they may get false information about realatioships and sexual behavior. Besides young people watch pornography to find out what they want and to stop out what they do not want in sexual things.

Choose the issue of “Media Violence” and collect information that will help you to write a report or give a presentation on violence in the media and its effects. Post the results on your blog.

Media Violence

Media Violence causes real-life violence and real-life violence there is since the humanity exist. Violence always played a role in entertainment and more and more violence get on TV. 40 times an hour violence is shown on TV.

So people want to protect the children and want to censor violence. Though this is very debatable because some people think that hiding violence is the reason for it in society.

The Watergate affair took place in the Watergate Hotel on June 17, 1972. This day five men try to cave into Democratic National Headquarters and bug of the telephones. By this event, abuses of governmental powers let on about. The people found out that co-operator and the voting commission of the president are involved in this incident. By and by the agents disclose more and more scandals. So president Nixon was the first president who resigned on August 8,1974.

“Realistic hoaxes like “The War of the Worlds” should be forbidden.”

On the one hand I agree with this statement, because it is very dangerous for the people. The result of such hoaxes can be mass crush and other things which put the people at risk.

At the other side the hoaxes should be funny for the people and if they do not understand the joke in it, it is silly. The spoofs are not supposed to anger people but to make them laugh.

So I think hoaxes should not be forbidden but they should be better to identify so that the people know better about it.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I listened to the radio play “The War of the Worlds” by Orson Welles last week and I was very angry about it. I was not aware that this was only a radio play, so my family an I panicked, we thought we were going to die. It was the worst evening of my whole life.

And now I am asking you: Why do you broadcast such a daunting, dangerous radio play which is so convincing that the people, who had not listened to the announcement before, thought the event was reality? You should have known before that it provoke riots like these in the population. In my opinion you have to respond to the public reaction and apologize for the incident because so many people were in agony, they ran into the streets an destroyed things and some people even died. You can not justify broadcasting such a realistic radio play, especially in times like these, when people don’t really know if Martians or extraterrestrial life are reality.

So I think you should never broadcast anything like this again it is dangerous for the population. A lot of people get brutally hurt also in a psychological way.

In 2008, a survey showed that millions of girls are taken in by paedophiles and bullies on the internet for example while using online-communities such as Facebook, Bebo and Myspace. In most cases the problem is that the girls give too much away from themselves, so that the bullies and paedophiles know exactly what the girls do, where they are from, how old they are or to which school they go to. The problem on the internet is that you can lie about your identity and so the girls normally think the guy is a boy in their own age. Some of the girls don’t know about this and maybe want to meet the person. This can be very dangerous for them because you never know who the person you chat with really is. Sometimes men follow them on the internet and write perverse things or even ambush the girls on the streets.

On the other hand there are bullies who bully the girls on the internet or follow them on the streets to bully or even beat them. The problem with this is also that ther girl show too much of themselves so the bullies know exactly about their weak points. This makes the girls easy for the people.

Unfortunately most of the victims don’t have the heart to talk about their problems because they are ashamed of them. This makes the situation very difficult because that way the offenders don’t get arrested and the detectin rate stays low.

It’ important for their safety that the girls don’t give away too much about themselves, so they would not attract the paedophiles and bullies. Besides you should never name your full name or address or something important like that. If you have children talk to them about the risk of internet and find out if they are ok. Be careful.

A radio is an electronic apparat, what is used to hear music or news.In 1887 a Heinrich Hertz demonstrated new developed waves by using spark gap equipment to transmit and receive radio or “Hertzian waves”, as they were first called. The experiments were not followed up by Hertz. The practical applications of the wireless communication and remote control technology were arranged by Nikola Tesla. 1896 Alexander Stepanovich Popov presented the first radio receiver. Till this day radio is the most used media.
